Join on a spectacular northern lights tour in the areas around Nordlysbyen Alta. This tour, which lasts for 5 hours, starts from the center in Alta at 20:00. Our experienced and knowledgeable guide will do everything to give the participants an unforgettable experience. We offer warm clothes, thermal suit, shoes and gloves to all participants, so that one can enjoy the tour comfortably.
Since 2007 we have offered northern lights tours, and we have built up long experience and good knowledge about the phenomenon the northern lights. There is 80-90% chance to see the northern lights on our tours, and each tour is unique as we focus on finding the best place with the greatest chance to see the lights. Sometimes we have to drive far to find it, while other times we find it in the local area. The distance we drive determines whether we set up a camp with bonfire, or if we serve hot cocoa and snacks at shorter stops. Along the way the guide will share local stories, information about the northern lights, Sami traditions, as well as stories from the Stone Age and World War II. We are back in Alta center around midnight.
