Have you ever wanted to see the northern lights? this is an experience at a dark location, with a bonfire, to keep you warm while watching for the lights
This tour is conducted by Camp Tamok & Ice Domes.
Join us at our wilderness center Camp Tamok which offers a great setting for Northern Lights observation. After a 90-minute bus drive from Tromsø city center, you will arrive in an untouched wilderness surrounded by darkness as the camp is far removed from the bright city lights and situated in a different climate zone that offers more stable weather and the likeliness of a clear sky.
Upon arrival, we will provide you with warm winter clothing and give a presentation about the Aurora Borealis and how to photograph it. Depending on the weather conditions, we will take you to different locations around the camp (by foot) from where the northern lights can be observed. When it is time to warm up, we will serve a hot meal inside around the open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent (lavvu).
After relaxing and warming up, it is time to board the bus and return to the city center of Tromsø
