Explore, play and learn at Norway's national museum for science and technology
At Kjelsås in Oslo, only a 12-minute train ride from the central station, you'll find Norway's largest museum for technology, industry, natural science and medicine.
The museum offers exciting experiences and playful learning for the whole family, with over 100 interactive installations and more than 25 exhibitions on themes like technology, science, airplanes, cars and trains.
Oslo Science Centre is part of the museum. Here, you can experiment with the mysteries of physics and explore astounding natural phenomena. The Maker Space, where you can participate in activities like 3D-printing and programming, is open on weekends and holidays.
You'll find an updated activity programme on the museum's website.
The National Museum of Medicine, which conveys medical history from the 1850 until today, is located here as well.
MUSEUM STORE AND CAFÉ
The museum's wonderful museum store is worth a visit in and of itself. It is filled with alternative toys, games, construction sets, books, fun tools and gadgets, models of clever inventions and other educational stuff.
At the museum café Tekno kafé, you may enjoy refreshments, lunch and dinner. The menu includes snacks, Italian and Greek specialties, homemade cakes, ice cream and barista coffee.
