Overview

Ice fishing can be very exciting and an awesome experience for all ages. Here in Trysil, we have an incredible number of water and lakes that are ideal for this. Experienced guides know where the fish are and can constantly give you hints and help with the equipment.
The most common fish species are trout, char, whitefish, lake, perch and pike - all depending on which water is selected. The fish bites almost all day, but of course there are periods that provide better fishing. Morning and afternoon are often the most preferred times - but the experience is no less if you enjoy a better lunch on the shore while the fish is telling your bait.
An ice fishing trip contains many moments that we take care of for you:
- Fishing license for everyone over the age of 16 is included in the price.
- All fishing gear, as well as bait are included in the price.
- Something hot to drink and a hot meal around the fire are included.
- Guide is included.
Attendance at the agreed place, so that we drive jointly to the fishing lake. We will send you a map on MMS or via your email address. For those who do not have transportation it will be possible to arrange this, but it is not included in the price.
A day on the ice is based on 4 hours, unless otherwise agreed. The price per participant is for adult’s NOK 800 and children NOK 500. You can pay by card or cash.
Dress well, often can be a bit windy on the open surfaces. Therefore, warm shoes and warm clothes are an important thing to keep in mind when going for ice fishing. Remember it can get wet on the ice around the ice fishing hole.
There will be a campfire near the fishing area so you can warm yourself and get some hot drinks during fishing. As of today, it is possible to book ice fishing on Saturdays and Sundays, but should you wish other day - we will try to adapt this according to your wishes.
Your guide cleans and packs the fish so you can enjoy it later at the cottage or at home.
