Odderøya Lighthouse is located on the western side of Odderøya in Kristiansand, at the entrance to the western harbor (Vesterhavna)
Here you can enjoy the view of the approach to Kristiansand, go swimming, or try your luck fishing.
Parking is available near the Mannskapsmessa event venue (before the path down to the lighthouse), at the top of Odderøya, and in the parking garage behind Kilden Performing Arts Centre.
From the website of the Norwegian Lighthouse Association (Fyrhistorisk forening), we read:
Odderøya Lighthouse Station is located on the mainland-connected peninsula of Odderøya, at the entrance to Kristiansand. The station was built at the same time as Oksøy Lighthouse and has both a functional and visual connection to it and to Grønningen Lighthouse. The three lighthouses form a continuous system of navigational aids guiding ships into the harbor at Kristiansand.
