Gaustatoppen is a paradise for skiing enthusiasts and, regardless of skill level, the magic mountain has something for everyone who likes to feel adrenaline coursing through their veins.

Gaustatoppen is a paradise for skiing enthusiasts and, regardless of skill level, the magic mountain has something for everyone who likes to feel adrenaline coursing through their veins.

What is more, with a day pass to the historic Gaustabanen funicular railway, it is easy to get to the summit so that you can set off over and over again.

For novice
At Gaustatoppen, everything is in place for a fun day for young and old alike. The marked route is a mediuam steep, unprepared hill and goes from "Tuddalstippen" and down to the entrance to Gaustabanen.

The descent is 2,4 kilometres and is just under 30 degrees at its steepest.

For intermediates
On the east side of Gaustatoppen there are seven runs down from the ridge where it is possible to ski.

These runs are steep, 40 - 52 degress at their steepest, and is only suitable for experienced skiers.

If, on the other hand, you are an experienced dare devil, you can enjoy an amazing experience that in no way falls short of what the Alps have to offer.

Please remember that the weather and surface on Gaustatoppen change quickly.

The runs are not marked and you should have an experienced guide with you whatever skill level.

At your own risk
All actvities at Gaustatoppen involve danger and are undertaken by your own risk. You can check the latest updates at the Facebook Group "Conditions at Gaustatoppen".

Guests at Gaustabanen may park there. All other guest are welcome to park at "Svineroi".
