Ormtjernskampen National Park was the smallest of its kind in Norway until it became part of Langsua National Park in 2011.
Ormtjernskampen National Park was the smallest of its kind in Norway until it became part of Langsua National Park in 2011. At the top of Ormtjernskampen, there are spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and towards Langsua.
From Ormtjernsætra, there is a well-kept trail to Ormtjernskampen. The distance is approx. 2.5 km, and the trip takes around 1 hour to complete. It is moderately challenging, and leads through varied forest and mountain terrain.
By car, follow route 250 and then 196 (signposted Synnfjell). Continue to Oppsjøkrysset. Turn right at the junction, and continue east on route 204 for approx. 5 km. Then turn left towards Ormtjernsætra. Parking is available by the trail.
