Relaxed walk along waterfalls and nature
Explore the waterfalls, rapids and rich birdlife along the beautiful Lysaker river when Oslo Hiking takes you on a walk in the green neighborhood of Oslo.
The trip starts outside Oslo Visitor Centre at Jernbanetorget in Oslo city centre. From there, you'll take the Røa Line to idyllic Røa.
You'll then slowly hike down towards the Lysaker river. There is a charming and accessible path along the riverbank. Norway is a land of waterfalls and some of them (small but powerfull) are located right in Oslo.
Along the way you'll cross bridges, enjoy waterfalls, frothing rapids, lush trees and the twitter of birds. The trip finishes at Jar station, where the metro takes you back to the starting point at Jernbanetorget.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Level of difficulty: Reasonable standard of fitness required. Hiking shoes or similar needed.
Duration: The tour takes about 3 hours, including public transportation. The walking distance is 4 kilometres.
