Overview

Explore the local nature in Oslo's forest areas

Discover Nordmarka - green and lush Norwegian forest. You will be able to explore the nature and maybe even meet some forest animals on this refreshing hiking tour.

The trip starts outside Oslo Visitor Centre at Jernbanetorget in Oslo city centre.

You will meet the local guide, and together you will take the metro line Frognerseteren to Frognerseteren. The group will hike along broad and small patches into the Northern Forest in Oslo. In this part of the forest you may find animals such as foxes, beavers, moose, deer, eagles, hares and many others! They are all harmless, but this is still a great opportunity to see the wild Nordic nature for yourself.

There will be two breaks at a «hytte» (cottage), the Skjennungen cottage and the Ullevålseter cottage. They serve great coffee and fresh pastry! You will also visit the geographic centre of Oslo, which is located right in the middle of the forest! The hike ends at Sognsvann, take the metro, and finish the trip at Jernbanetorget.
