Bademaschinen is a collection of floating saunas. The facility is located at the pier known as Langkaia in the Bjørvika neighbourhood, with great views to the iconic Oslo Opera House.

The construction consists of two saunas that seat up to 20 people, a locker room and diving boards. To make it easy for everyone to visit the sauna,Bademaschinen is open for drop-in daily between 7am and 7pm.You canreserve the sauna for private parties in the evening.

The sauna takes its name from a sea bathing facility that was built in Bjørvika in 1820, sparking an interest in urban fjord swimming. After a while, no fewer than 19 bathing facilities lined the Oslo harbour from east to west – until the fjord became too polluted for swimming. Now, as the Oslo harbour has been reclaimed for recreation and Oslo is taking sauna experiences to a whole new level, it is only fitting that the area once again has its own Bademaschin.
