The Oslofjord visitor center will inspire measures so that we can have a clean and rich Oslofjord in the future.

The municipality of Horten and INSPIRIA science center have been commissioned by the Ministry of Climate and the Environment to build a visitor center that will highlight and create commitment to how we together can create a better Oslofjord. Before, the Oslofjord was full of life, but something has happened. Kongsberg Maritime and Bastø Fosen are also on the team.

Oslofjorden visitor center can be found at the historic Karljohansvern in Horten.

The visitor center informs about the value of the fjord and the threats and helps to create insight and commitment to make the fjord healthier. It is built so that it is suitable for both the elderly and the young.

Oslofjorden visitor center is linked to the project Frisk Oslofjord - with cooperation on communication and teaching.
