Osterøy sauna
Osterøy Sauna is a self-service, wood-fired sauna idyllically located by the riverbank in Fotlandsvåg, just a 45-minute drive from Bergen city center.
Here, you can enjoy the warmth of the wood-fired stove and take refreshing dips in the clear river water via a platform with a ladder.
The sauna is ideal for both early risers and evening visitors. It's a perfect addition to a hotel stay at the historic Fjordslottet Hotell, situated right next door.
The sauna is self-service; you'll receive an access code upon booking. Please bring your own swimsuit, towel, and beverages.
Getting There
By car: Approximately 45 minutes from Bergen. Take the E16 from Bergen city center towards Voss, cross the Osterøy Bridge, and follow signs to Lonevåg, then Fotlandsvåg. Free parking is available right outside the sauna.
By bus: The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The nearest bus stop is Hanstveit, just a 2-minute walk from the sauna. Timeschedule is available at www.skyss.no.
