Fru Guri av Edøy is a well-known and beloved outdoor play on Smøla outside Kristiansund, that takes place in the 12th century. Meet an aristocratically strong woman who stands in the battle between old and new faith. Friends become enemies, young love becomes difficult and the new faith is put to the test.
Natural scenery at Smøla
This gripping story is presented in beautiful settings with Edøy Old Church from the 12th century, the mountain range above the Edøyfjord and the beautiful coastal landscape of Smøla as a backdrop.
The Guri Center
The Guri Center is built to house this historic play. At the same time, the center also houses a historical exhibition with new archaeological finds, as well as being the regional coastal pilgrimage centre.
