We will take you in to some of the most incredible scenery in the Lyngen area, where we will camp outdoors and walk on a glacier. A trip for you looking for something out of the ordinary, without having too much experience with alpine adventures.
The overnight glacier experience - will take you in to some of the most incredible scenery in the Lyngen area. Your guide for this experience will either be Tom Frode or Helga. Both have lived in the area for several years and know the landscape and hidden gems that are worth exploring in Lyngen. This is the trip you will want to do if you are looking for something out of the ordinary, without having too much experience with alpine adventures.
Day 1: Lyngsdalen or Vuošvággi is a valley well used by the locals in the summertime. The reason for it becomes obvious when we start to find our way along a winding path, towards our goal – Sydbreen. Steep, grasscovered mountainsides follow us the whole way, as well as the rapid currents of the Lyngsdalselva/Vuošváhjohka- river coming of the glaciers at the top of the valley.
Once we reach the riverbed the valley opens up and reveals the tallest mountainmassif in Lyngen, with Jiehkkevárri reaching as high as 1834 meters above sealevel.
At this place, under the 3 glaciers that nestle amongst these mountains, we find our restingplace for the night.
Day 2: We start the day with coffee and a large breakfast by the campsite. After eating we go through the equipment needed for going onto the glacier and how to use it. We will have a short discussion on expectations for the day and possible challenges, which is a good way to get to know eachother a little better. Once we have geared up, we head for the glacier and the unique world of the blue ice. Depending on weather and physical condition of the group, we spend a few hours exploring the landscape of the glacier. When coming back to the camp we have a warm lunch and pack up, before heading back to civilisation.

We will provide:
