Påldtun Cabin

The cabin is located at the top of our orchard, with a beautiful view over fjords and mountains. You will have access to our jetty and SUP boards. While staying at our orchard, you can help yourself to as much fruit and berries as you want to eat.

Inside Påldtun Cabin, you will find everything you need for a comfortable holiday. There is underfloor heating, double bed, toilet, shower and a kitchenette.

Part of the cabin experience is walking to the top. There is no road access that goes the whole way up. But there is a nice trail which you can follow. We will help you with your luggage if you like.

The cabin is in a rural location by the Påldtun farmyard. But at the same time, it is not far from the centre of Sandane. You will have the option to rent both boats and bikes.

If you want to travel to Påldtun by boat, you can do so at our jetty. It is not far from here to the cabin.
When staying at our cabin, you can make use of our SUP boards which are located at our jetty.

Within walking distance from the cabin, you will find the Gardsbrenneriet Farm Shop which is on the neighbouring farm. Here you can purchase local products both from Påldtun and from other local food suppliers in Gloppen. Gardsbrenneriet has also won many awards for its beverage products.

If you want to take an evening walk, you can head to nearby Tinghaugen on Hauge which is located at Karnilstunet. This is another neighbouring farm. The Ting or mound is the largest man-made Tinghaug in Western Norway and among the ten largest in the Nordic region.

The cabin is not far away from the Trivselsskogen hiking area and the Trivselsbadet swimming pool in Sandane.

There are hiking options in Gloppen for all abilities. Some areas worth mentioning include Traudalen, Langedalen, Austrheimstøylen and Eggenipa. From Haugsvarden there is also a nice area for trail biking.

Sandane is home, among other things, to quaint cafés, the Nordfjord Folk Museum and a beach right in the village centre.
