A cup of coffee and a piece of history. Visit Pakkhuset Kafé located in the old-fashioned shop Vognildsbua. The shop has a history that dates back to 1860’s. The main building is among the oldest general stores that still intact in Norway today. The store was opened in 1860 and was in operation until the mid 1980’s. Back in the day, Vognildsbua was a meeting place for the locals as much as it was a place to shop.
The old general store is part of a collection of restored buildings. "Pakkhuset" is now restored and is working as a cafeteria open every Saturday throughout the year.
