At the end of the gondola at Strandafjellet you find the restaurant pavilion Roalden at 1042 m.a.s.l.
From here you have view directly down to the mighty Storfjord and the surrounding Sunnmørsalps, the entrance to the World Heritage Geirangerfjord and the fjord village Stranda.
Stranda has gradually become known for its food industry with quality products. Here you will find the production of salmon, cured meats - and pizza.
The restaurant at the Pavilion try to reflect this in its menu and offers snacks, sandwiches and light dishes based on local ingredient, in addition to delicious Norwegian waffles with jam and cream.
The restaurant is open both summer and winter, and can also be hired for private parties for individuals and businesses.
The pavilion is a favorite destination for hikers in the area. What is well better than to sit down after a proper hike with something good to eat and drink.
