Photosafari

Looking for the perfect reindeer picture? The hidden local views? Let your authorised guide with a keen interest in photography take you on a photo safari to the best spots where you can take pictures of the beautiful island of Magerøya.

The landscapes are unique with their rugged, but soft surfaces, with small arctic flowers decorating the far-reaching tundra. Five thousand reindeer spend the summer grazing in the hills and for thousands of years fishermen have called the fjords home. Depending on the weather conditions, your guide will take you to the viewpoints to take great pictures of the majestic fjords, chase the reindeer, and take you to places that allow you to take magnificent shots of the small fishing villages or the capital Honningsvåg. Weather permitting, you may also be able to photograph the North Cape plateau and the protruding horn from a distance. Additionally, your guide will share a lot of information on the nature, the history of the island, culture, and the wildlife. Witness the fast-changing weather conditions, the beauty of the Arctic, the fauna and flora, and the unique life in the north. * Duration is 4 hours * Scheduling of the trip is adapted to the cruise ships timetable to make sure you are back in time * All busses are equipped with airconditioning * Guiding on the buss is in English * Additional departures and language combinations upon request (Northcape@arcticguideservice.no)
