The Pilgrim Trail of Norway is a network of marked trails based on the pilgrimage tradition. The trails are connected to a number of exciting natural and cultural monuments associated with religious practices in the Middle Ages and with St. Olav.

The pilgrimage centre Granavollen covers the region from Bønsnes i Hole, via Hadeland and Toten to Biristrand
in Gjøvik. In this region, the Pilgrim Trail passes through living villages set in a historically and nationally important cultural landscape that is a great source of excitement, wonder and reflection. The trail is suitable for day trips, weekend walks or longer hikes, depending on your wishes.

The trail starts at Bønsnes i Hole and follows ancient routes past burial mounds, sunken lanes, stone circles and medieval churches. The landscape is varied and the trail runs alongside some of the largest lakes in the country.

A walk on the Pilgrim Trail is a journey through living history, culture and nature that never cease to surprise.
