Places to swim in Inner Østfold

Lundebyvannet

Here is a summary of some of the lovely bathing spots in Indre Østfold.

Tempting with a dip? In Indre Østfold there are plenty of swimming opportunities!

Norway's longest river, "Glomma", flows through the region, and through the bordering municipalities the Halden canal flows like a blue thread. There are a number of prepared swimming spots and, in addition, there are good opportunities to take a dip in one of the many forest pn\onds and lakes. The Fjella area in particular is rich in idyllic places for both swimming and fishing, and there are several great places along Glomma, Øyeren, Rødensjøen, Øymarksjøen, Aremarksjøen and Aspern. Klaretjern in Aremark is a pond that attracts attention from both bathers and sport divers with its crystal clear water and myths about the Klaretjern norm.
