Interactive museum and activity centre for Norwegian pop music, located in the urban neighbourhood of Grünerløkka in Oslo, among small cafés, green parks and second-hand stores.

Popsenteret is like its own universe where you deep dive through more than 100 years of music history. More than three stories of exhibitions, interactive installations and experiences where you can learn about how the music technology have changed throughout the times, and how the music always reflects the times and society’s development.

Dreaming of becoming an artist?
Do you dream of becoming a musical artist? Visit the exhibition FUZZ and get inspired by how famous Norwegian artists create their music and learn their secrets. Hit the drums or try out the bass, guitar or keyboard. Record a song in the studio, take a photoshoot and make a digital album cover. Download the song and the cover and “take it home with you”. Singing together with friends is a fun and social activity!

The music – me and you
In this new and interesting mini-exhibition, you can find out how music affects us – either through listening or when we perform it. Here you will also find games and activities.

Playroom for children and drawing contest
Let the children play in the playroom with a new festival theme or draw a drawing in the lounge, all while you enjoy an ice cream or a coffee.
