Prehistoric village Landa Park in Forsand
A visit to Landa Park at Forsand in Ryfylke is an exciting journey back in time. Bring your family and experience history up close.
Landa Park is located close to the Lysefjord, and is a great base for the hike to the iconic Preikestolen.
The archaeological discoveries are unique and can point to a history 2,000 year back in time - from the Bronze Age, about 1500 f.Kr, to Migration Period, about 600 AD.
Reconstruction aims to recreate something of the atmosphere that prevailed 3000 years ago. The first building, a Bronze Age house, was displayed in 1995. See history come alive!
Every Sunday in summer they offer activities (weather permitting):
Guided tour
Bow and arrow
Bake bread and pancakes over fire
Create your own necklace of ravstone
Create jars in ceramics
Throw horseshoes
