Preikestolen sunrise hike
Preikestolen is the most visited hike in Norway. Every year, approximately 275,000 hikers find their way up to the cliff, hanging at 604 metres above the Lysefjord.

Join Outdoorlife Norway on a midnight hike to Preikestolen to watch the sunrise above the Lysefjord.
Your guide will meet you at in Stavanger at the following times:
19 April – 15 August: 00.50am
16 August – 15 September: 02.30am
We start in the midst of night and hike with headlamps through the short and light Norwegian night. The hike to Preikestolen takes about 2 ½ hours. We’ll find ourselves a beautiful spot and watch the first deep orange beams of sunlight hit Preikestolen, lightening up the steep mountain walls towering along the Lysefjord.
This trip is performed in cooperation with the Norwegian Trekking Association. Before the first busses with tourists from Stavanger arrives, we will be on our way back to Preikestolen Mountain Lodge to conclude a totally different hiking experience with a well-deserved breakfast.
