Join a private northern lights tour from Tromsø for up to six guests, with a flexible route, campfire, warm drinks and a local guide.

This tour is operated by Vikran Touring.

Join a private northern lights chase from Tromsø and spend an evening in the Arctic winter landscape with your own guide. With a maximum of six guests, the experience is flexible and personal, with the route adapted to the weather and cloud conditions each evening.

Leaving the city lights behind, you will travel to locations with less light pollution. Once a suitable spot is found, settle in around the campfire, enjoy warm drinks and grilled sausages, and wait for the possibility of the northern lights appearing – and perhaps dancing across the sky.

Your guide will share stories and information about the northern lights and the surrounding area and can also help you with photography. If the northern lights are visible, your guide can take photos of the experience.

Thermal suits are available on request and must be arranged in advance.

As this is a private tour, alternative pick-up locations in the Tromsø area can be arranged on request.

Minimum age: 12 years

Duration: Approximately 5–7 hours.

  • The route and stops vary depending on weather and cloud conditions.
  • The campfire and outdoor parts of the experience may be affected by weather conditions.
  • Thermal suits must be requested in advance.
  • Photos of the northern lights depend on the northern lights being visible during the tour.
