Rauvassgården mountain farm in scenic surroundings
The historic Rauvassgården is a gem in the mountains outside Mo i Rana, perfect for larger groups on a trip together, or smaller groups looking for ample space.
Rauvassgården has been in operation since 1890, carrying with it a history as an old coaching inn and telegraph station, and an important stopover for those trading with Sweden. The history and old charm still linger in the house, even though it has been renovated to modern standards and comfort.
The farm offers a total of 14 beds: 12 inside the main house, spread across four bedrooms and a sleeping alcove in the attic, and 2 in the cozy annex behind the house. The ground floor of the house features a kitchen and living room for self-catering, while the second floor has a cozy loft lounge. The dining room can accommodate a long table for up to 20 people. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, and coffee machine.
Great hiking opportunities
Right outside the door, you have Raudvatnet, and the surrounding area has numerous fishing lakes, large and small mountain peaks with excellent hunting opportunities. In the winter, you’ll find excellent opportunities for ice fishing on Raudvatnet, and it’s a short distance to well-prepared ski trails.
