This tour is conducted by Tromsø Lapland. Join in the daily feeding of a herd of 300 reindeer! Enjoy untouched Arctic nature around you as you marvel at the Lyngen Alps and learn more about the Arctic superhero.
Participate in the daily feeding of a big reindeer herd of 300 reindeer. You will be picked up outside Radisson Blu in Tromsø - just look for your guide wearing a blue Luhkka (poncho) and then the 45-minute bus ride to Breivikeidet commences. On the road you will see mountains, fjords, untouched nature, and all this before you arrive at your destination! Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by your Sami guide who will guide you into the reindeer fence for the feeding. Learn more about the amazing animals as you marvel at the Lyngen Alps in the background and enjoy our little patch of Arctic paradise.
After the reindeer are full and happy, it's your turn to have dinner. You will head into the Gamme for a hot drink and warm tasty Bidos - a traditional Sami dish. Inside the Gamme your guide will tell you more about life in the Arctic, the Sami history and culture, and will show you a collection of Sami artifacts and clothing.
