Reindeer feeding in SamiCamp

Overview

In the camp you can feed the reindeer herd and learn about the Sami culture and the Sami way of living. An English speaking sami guide will be telling you stories, and you will be served a hot meal, Bidos, a traditional sami dinner. Hot drink by the fire - blackurrant berries drink/coffe/tea and cake.

Inside the lavvu (a traditional Sami tent) warm drinks and a traditional Sami meal will be cooked over the fire and then served. After the meal you are invited to gather around the fire and listen to stories about Sami culture . You will also get the opportunity to listen to the traditional Sami song called "joik" and shaman drumming.

Good conditions to watch the Northern lights above our camp in the evenings.

Included: transfer (20 minutes each way), English speaking guide, bidos (reindeer broth), hot drinks, storytelling and joik
Please bring: warm clothing, warm footwear and gloves or mittens
Departure time and place:
Monday - Friday: 7:30pm (19:30) from Radisson Blu Hotel
Saturday and Sunday: 11am (11:00) from Radisson Blu Hotel
From December 20th to March 20th there is an additional departure at 11am (11:00) Monday to Friday. Departure from outside Radisson Blu Hotel.
