These excursions start from Ørnes in Meløy municipality – but for your convenience you can request to be picked up elsewhere en route.

The RIB sea-rafting adventures from Ørnes are fast paced, and you can quickly arrive at one of the amazing hiking destinations on the Helgeland coast. We lend all participants a thermal flotation suit, so you will be snug and warm in any kind of weather.
Sea rafting to Rødøya – and a summit hike up Rødøyløva
This sea-rafting adventure also includes a hike to the top of Rødøyløva and optional dining at Klokkergården, the old sexton’s residence. If you prefer, you can choose a more relaxing alternative to the summit hike, such as a walk on one of island’s chalk-white sand beaches, a family visit to Bamsehuset, Norway’s only teddy bear museum, or a walk with your children into the magical fairytale forest, Eventyrskogen.
The summit of Rødøyløva (443 m) offers a stunning panorama of the thousands of islands, islets and skerries that dot the surrounding waters. In clear weather, you can see the jagged peaks of the Lofoten Islands far to the north and the Vega archipelago to the south.
Sea eagle safari
Join Meløy Adventure on a white-tailed eagle safari along the coast of Meløy. Experience white-tailed eagles up close from a RIB boat in beautiful surroundings. Along the coast of Meløy, mountains, islands and the open sea meet in a landscape where white-tailed eagles have good habitats. This safari takes you out to sea to look for the large bird of prey in its natural environment.
Starting from Ørnes, the trip passes Messøya and Meløya by RIB boat and you have the opportunity to observe white-tailed eagles, seabirds and changing coastal nature. The trip is suitable for those who want a close-to-nature experience with a focus on wildlife and a boat trip on the Helgeland coast.
