RIB-tours with Vesterålen Adventures
A RIB tour is an experience packed with speed, history, and nature.
We offer tours every day, all year round, with each season bringing its own charm and unique experiences in this breathtaking landscape. These tours provide a dynamic and unforgettable way to explore the coastline, close to nature and the Arctic elements.
On our tours, we use RIB boats (Rigid Inflatable Boats), which are specially designed to combine lightweight construction, strength, and high performance. These boats are perfect for safely navigating the varied coastal conditions while providing a thrilling sense of speed and excitement. Our experienced guides ensure that safety is always a top priority, allowing you to enjoy the tour with complete peace of mind.
Along the way, you’ll get to experience the unique Arctic landscape up close—from stunning natural scenery to the wildlife that calls this area home. A highlight of the tour is the chance to see Norway’s largest bird of prey, the white-tailed eagle. With a wingspan of up to 2.5 meters, this majestic bird is truly a sight to behold. Once endangered, the white-tailed eagle is now a protected species that thrives in this region.
Sortland, also known as "The Blue Town," is our main departure point, but tours can also start from Kvitnes Gård or Stokmarknes by arrangement. We are based at Scandic Sortland, right outside the hotel’s main entrance.
Sea Eagle Safari to Trollfjord
Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours
Trollfjorden - a natural gem located on the border between Vesterålen and Lofoten.
Trollfjorden is famous for its dramatic mountain walls, narrow entrance, and intriguing history. The fjord is only 2 km long and narrows to just 100 meters at its tightest point, giving it a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere—true to the origin of its name.
The journey takes us through the stunning Raftsundet, a narrow strait winding along Hinnøya, Norway’s largest island.
This is one of our most popular experiences, and we look forward to sharing it with you.

This tour explores both Djupfjorden and Sigerfjorden, two fjords rich in fascinating stories—even for locals. Both are located on Hinnøya, Norway’s largest island, offering magnificent nature and a unique Arctic environment.
The combination of history, nature, and wildlife makes this a highly recommended tour by our guests.
