PROGRAMME You can choose whether to arrive at Værlandet on a Friday or a Saturday. The programme varies depending on day of arrival. Programme for Friday to Sunday: 

Friday Check-in at Værlandet Ocean Front Hotel after 16:00*. Welcome gifts in your room. Simple evening meal served in your room. 

Saturday   09:00 Breakfast served in your room. Enjoy the archipelago as you want – at your own pace. There are many impressive hiking trails in the vicinity as well as the possibility of hiring a bike.   In the afternoon / evening you will be served fish soup at the hotel. 

Sunday  09:00 Breakfast served in your room. 11:00 Check-out and 'thanks for now'*. 

*We do our utmost to ensure you have a wonderful stay. If we have spare capacity you'll be able to check in earlier and check out later at no extra cost.

ABOUT VÆRLANDET OCEAN FRONT HOTEL We offer overnight stays in modern architecture near to sky and sea. Værlandet Ocean Front Hotel has 7 exclusive bedrooms, all with their own theme which determines choice of colours and interior. Key words are: sea, nature, animal life, geology, fauna, fishing and history.  One of the rooms is disability friendly. We also cater for those with allergies or food intolerance. Our reception is at Joker Værlandet located on the ferry quay on Værlandet. The distance from Joker Værlandet and Værlandet Ocean Front Hotel is about 2 km (about 1.25 miles). If required, guests can be transported from the ferry quay to the hotel.     

TRAVEL SUGGESTIONS  From Askvoll Take a 1 hour ferry trip from the quay in the centre of Askvoll to Værlandet. Check en-tur.no for timetabled sailings by entering «Frå: Askvoll kai» and «Til: Værlandet ferjekai». Tickets for the ferry can be purchased on board. If required, guests can be transported from the ferry quay to Værlandet Ocean Front Hotel.    ​​ From Bergen By express boat: Take the 2 1/2 hour express boat trip from the Strandkai terminal in Bergen to Askvoll, and then the 1 hour ferry trip from Askvoll to Værlandet. Check en-tur.no for timetabled sailings by entering «Frå: Strandkaiterminalen, Bergen» and «Til: Værlandet ferjekai». You can buy tickets for the express boat at norled.no. Ferry tickets can be bought on board the ferry.   

By car (4  1/2 hours): Take the E39 going north. After about 2 hours you will reach the Oppedal-Lavik ferry quay. After a 30 minute ferry trip you arrive in Lavik.  Follow the E39 towards Førde. You will reach Dale after 50 minutes. Here you turn left towards Askvoll. 20 minutes later you will reach Askvoll centre from which there is a ferry to Værlandet. The ferry timetable is available here. Tickets for the ferry can be bought on board.  From Florø Take the 40 minute express boat trip from Florø to Askvoll, and then the 1 hour ferry trip from Askvoll to Værlandet. From Førde Take the 1 1/2 hour bus trip from Førde bus terminal to Askvoll centre and then the 1 hour ferry trip from Askvoll quay to Værlandet.
