Welcome to Romsåsen Mining Experiences - Activity Park!
Here small and large can test themselves in the tough zipline over the Nickel basecamp or rappel 20 meters down the old mine shaft. You can climb 9 meters tall mind walls or join 150 years back in time on a mining hike in Norway's ONLY OPEN Nickel mine. Romsåsen is located in scenic surroundings where you can experience both adrenaline and enjoy the tranquility of the forest!
The story becomes your experience!
Various activities:
Climbing inside the historic "Cathedral" - wall of 9 meters
In the Cathedral you can try the climbing wall of 9 meters. The climb takes place with good instructors and with the necessary safety equipment. No prior knowledge is required. Suitable from 6 years onwards. Upper weight limit: 120 kg. The temperature in the room is between 5 and 12 degrees all year. Warm clothing, sneakers or climbing shoes are recommended . The cathedral is also used for intimate concerts and other smaller cultural events.
Rappelling 20 meters down the main shaft
Do you take the challenge? The main shaft in the mine is 20 meters deep and runs between the upper and lower stools. Here you can rappel through a unique story - the miners of the 19th century used this as a tippingplace to carry out the Nickel.. Down in the Ice Tunnel, there is often ice on the floor - and close to St.Hans (23rd. of june) the temperature rarely exceeds 5 degrees in the summer. Highly recommend warm clothing, good shoes and gloves. The skilled instructor guides you from top to bottom. Lower age limit 10 years. Upper weight limit 120 kg.
Zipline
You have to drive the tough Zipline at 180 meters which goes over the Nickel base camp with a height of about 12 meters. Airy and exciting activity suitable for almost all ages, but recommended from 6 years. Upper weight limit: 120 kg. The staff will help you with all the necessary safety equipment. The discipline is served by qualified instructors at the start and stop.
HAVE A GOOD TRIP!
