THE SNOW ROAD
reaches 3006masl and is known for its high altitude that leaves the road mountain covered in snow all year. The drive across the mountain is one of the most beautiful mountain routes in Norway. The road is only open during certain times of the year: 1. June to 30. September. From the beginning of October to the beginning of May the road is closed.
THE LÆRDAL TUNNEL
is the longest tunnel in the world, measuring 24,5km from beginning to end. The tunnel was opened in 2000 and going through it is some experience.
The tunnel has an extraordinary composition with simulated daylight, good air quality and three great mountain halls (all lit in different colours).
BORGUND STAVE CHURCH
is the best-preserved Stave Church in Norway. The Stave Church in Borgund was built in 1180AD. The church known for its distinct architecture and a style of decoration that capture the historical breaking point between Old Norse and Christian culture in Norway. At the Stave Church Visitor Center, you will find an exhibition about unique Viking findings from the early 8th century. At the visitor center you can also find a café, souvenir shop and toilet facilities.
Note! That the entrance ticket to the Stave Church is not included in the price: 90NOK.
