Bygdetunet is situated at the place what once was called Viks most beautiful garden, today nearby Vik church, not far away from the centre of Vik. A pleasent stop along road 17 - Kystriksveien.
Bygdetunet is situated at the place that was once called Viks most beautiful garden, today nearby Vik church, not far away from the centre of Vik. The museum has 12 old and restored buildings. We are a part of Helgeland museum and we are working to maintain the knowledge of Sømna agricultural history and the Norwegian heritage.
throughout the summer there are a lot of different activities here. You also have the opportunity to taste our famous waffles, as well as visit the tour desk. Here new generations have a unique opportunity to understand how people lived before. Not through theory and reading, but with seeing and experiencing the different utilities and artifacts.
The museum has a cosy museum shop and the local tourist information is also situated here.
