Do you want to experience the fantastic Namdalen coastline with it’s stunning scenery, small islands and learn something new at the same time?
Salmar offers boat trips out to their modern salmon farm where they show you where they annually produce millions of salmon for gourmet dinners worldwide.
In cooperation with the Coastal museum Rørvik they tell the story of Norwegian aquaculture and show the modern culture in practice. The exhibition suits everyone from tourists, kindergartens, schools, businesses and other groups. The new aquaculture exhibition in the coastal museum opened in 2013, and is available all year round.
The entire summer season offers great experiences at sea. We have several regular weekly departures out to the Aquafarms in July, and we also book excursions for groups all season.
A Unique Journey through Time
During the summer 2019 the boat excursions include a trip to the listed island fishing village of Sør-Gjæslingan where the Coast Museum provides an insight into the life of the fishermen 100 years ago - a very different world than modern marine use! In addition we serve a light lunch as a part of the trip, and the menu is of course salmon!
