Visit the modern Hardanger Akvasenter exhibition center in Øystese, located in the same building as the Hardangerbadet. Here you will learn a lot of exciting facts about salmon production in Hardanger.

In Øystese, you can visit the modern, interactive Hardanger Akvasenter exhibition. The exhibition “This is where we live” is located in the same building as the Hardangerbadet. It was opened in March 2020. Through the installations, you will learn a lot about the importance of the fjord as a resource for the entire Hardangerfjord region. You will also get an insight into the life cycle of the salmon and modern salmon production in Hardanger.



Guided tours can be booked on request. These take about 45 minutes and cost NOK 100 per adult and NOK 50 per child. When there are no guided tours pre-booked, the exhibition is open free of charge and can be visited without a guide.
