This tour is recommended for nature photographers, bird watchers and people who love the rural coastal landscape.
We pick you up in Tromsø by bus and drive to our base camp located North of Kavaløya island (the Whale Island).
During the drive, you can sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery while your guide will tell you all about the adventure that awaits you as well as what to look for while in the boat.
At our basecamp, you will be provided with an extra layer of clothing and survival suits. Then we will drive another short 5 minutes to where our boats are waiting for us. Your guide will also give you a short safety briefing before going onboard.
We travel by zodiac for a real Arctic adventure to explore fjords with breathtaking scenery. We look for white-tailed eagles, little auk, yellow-billed loon, seatrout and king eider. From February/March the puffin, guillemot, theist and European storm petrel also arrive in our waters. WE can sometimes see seals resting on the cliffs.
The whales have just left our area, but you never know if we are up for a surprise.
