The Nærøyfjord is a pearl and one of the most spectacular fjords in the world, and the best way to enjoy it is from a kayak.
The Unesco World Heritage listed Nærøyfjord is a pearl and one of the most spectacular fjords in the world, and the best way to enjoy it is from a kayak.
Nordic Ventures offer guided tours that last from half a day to three days. The groups are relatively small with 2-9 paddlers plus guides. The tours suite everyone, whether you have never sat in a kayak before or you are an experienced kayaker. All equipment is included, on day tours and overnight tours are food and drink included as well.
Nordic Ventures will pick you up in Voss town centre at 9:00 and drive you to Gudvangen where you will get equipment and instructions, before heading out on the fjord.
You will paddle past small farms, waterfalls and green forest clad mountains. A few times during the day you will stop at hidden gems and get out to stretch your legs and take a well-deserved rest, while the guides share their knowledge about the area, geography, local history and culture.
Nordic Ventures serve a delicious BBQ style lunch cooked outdoors, incl. refreshments (not on half day tour).
While the daytrip ends by paddling back to Gudvangen, you will camp along the Nærøyfjord on the overnight tour. An evening walk to explore more on foot is recommended. After breakfast the following day you will continue to paddle out the Nærøyfjord and into the Aurlandsfjord where the tour ends in the idyllic village Undredal.
3-day tour follows the same route as the 2-day tour, but on the second day you will hike to one of the majestic mountain tops and view the fjord from above.
