Private tours on board charming MB Fento! Come join us explore our beautiful surroundings, with fjords and islands full of adventures just waiting for us.
The adventure starts when MB Fento leaves the quay. Nearby surroundings: Explore beautiful Aalesund with a view from the sea or take the tour to one of the islands nearby.
Round trip Aalesund: Duration 3 – 4 hours:
With start from Skansekaia we take a roundtrip into Brosundet, one of the most photographed motives in Aalesund, with its well-known Art Nuoveau style. When we leave the harbor, we look back at Skansekaia were the local fishermen sell their catch in the morning. We pass Molja lighthouse, which has a wedding suite. Looking back now, you will have a great view, to the city and city mountain, with it’s 418 steps up to Fjellstua. On the way you will have a nice view towards open sea and the islands close to Aalesund. We pass the Atlantic Sea-Park, one Scandinavia’s largest saltwater aquariums.
On the outer edge of the Hessa island, we often see eagles. The mountain, Sukkertoppen is 314m. We set the course in the Hessa fjord, with Hessa at barbour (left) side and Sula at starboard (right) side. We check out the nice islets outside Langevaag. We cruise into the narrow channel towards Sunnmøre Museum, where we can see Viking ships and a historical boat, MK “Heland” used under WW2. We return to Aalesund centrum and go ashore at the cruise/fishery harbor at opposite side of the town compared to where we started.
(Start/stop Skansekaia/Cruise Fishery harbor, also possible to switch and start at the Cruise Fishery harbor).
Fugleøya Runde: Duration appr. 5 timer.
With start from Skansekaia we head straight towards Runde. Rounding the northside of the island and the location were Akerendam shipwrecked in 1725. In 1972 sport divers found a large gold treasure there. The bird cliff is located at the west side of the island and is an amazing view, with several species of birds. We will stop for a while, so you can enjoy the view and take pictures. We will continue around the island, before heading back to Ålesund.
Haramsøya/Flemsøya: Appr. 4 hours +, depending on time ashore.
This is a nice tour, where you get to see several of the islands and coastline nearby Aalesund. It is possible to go ashore at Haramsøya for a walk to Ulla lighthouse and enjoy the beautiful nature at the wild view towards the open sea.
Wort noticing:
Remember to bring your camera and binoculars, there are great motives around every corner, if we are lucky, we might see orcas, eagles or other wild animals. On all tours you bring your own lunch/drink and enjoy it on the way.
