Skei Fjellkirke

Skei Mountain Church is beautifully located between spruce forests by the foot of Skeikampen. The church is consecrated on the 4th of November 2001 by Bishop Rosemarie Kohn who was bishop at that time. Skei Mountain Church is owned by a foundation, and run voluntarily by local residents.

The altar piece is painted by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. The church is designed by architect Eivind Eriksen, and was built by the help of locals, tourists, and many local businesses.

The church can be booked for tours and other events such as weddings, christenings and concerts.
