I am a guide and avalanche technician living in Olderdalen, Kåfjord. I have Canadian Avalanche Association Level 3 (Applied Avalanche Risk Management) certification and can guide you in Lyngen, Kåfjord and on the islands Kågen and Årnøya.
My main area of guiding are the mountain islands of Kågen, Arnøya, and my backyard in Kåfjord – areas that offer some of the best summit-to-sea skiing experience, off the beaten path, for all skill levels. Tours range from 600 vertical meters to exciting traverses with 2500 vertical meters – and all offer the same summit-to-sea experience.
In addition, I offers standardized Avalanche Skills Training (AST) and Companion Rescue courses, designed by Avalanche Canada.
I go skiing with a maximum of 6 people. For demanding tours with occasional rope use the limit is 2. The pricing for groups is:
Group with 2-3 people: NOK 3000
Group with 4 people: NOK 3500
Group with 4-5 people: NOK 4000
Group with 6 people: 4500
This includes the guiding in the region.
Not included are transport, avalanche rescue equipment and food/drinks. If you need to rent ski touring gear, avalanche rescue equipment or clothing, contact me. Please ensure that you have adequate insurance.
