Experience the Delights of Mountain Life at Skjækerhytta Cabin

Nestled at the northwestern end of Lake Skjækervatnet, Skjækerhytta cabin offers a spectacular view of Snåsa's highest mountain peak, Skjækerhatten Mountain (1139 meters above sea level). Here, you can indulge in the simple joys of mountain living, enjoy self-caught trout for dinner, and recharge your spirits with delightful hikes in the surrounding area.

Skjækerhytta cabin serves as an ideal base for summit treks and both short and long walks throughout the year. During your cabin rental, you'll have access to a boat, providing excellent fishing opportunities on Lake Skjækervatnet without the need for a fishing license.

Skjækerhytta is also a convenient stopover for those journeying from cabin to cabin in Skjækra. For experienced hikers seeking a more challenging summit trek, Skjækerhatten Mountain awaits. However, this hike is demanding for a day trip, so we recommend an overnight stay at  Skjækerhytta cabin, strategically situated for this purpose.
