Skjervøy Fiskecamp is situated in Skjervøy, a vibrant village with several shops, a cosy café and restaurant. The camp has eight cabins and six apartments. The proximity to the mountains on the nearby island of Kågen make the camp an ideal base for ski touring.
In the wintertime, Skjervøy is an excellent place to experience the Northern Lights and whale watching. The mountains on the nearby island of Kågen are renowned for good ski touring, especially in the springtime. It’s possible to ski right from the fjord to the summit and down again. Not far away, you can also ski the mountains on the island of Arnøya and the noted mountains east of Lyngen – Storhaugen, Sorbmegaisa and Gillavarri.
Would you like to rent a boat for fishing or to explore the area? Skjervøy Fiskecamp rents out boats at a daily and weekly basis. The camp has a floating pier and fish cleaning facilities.
At the camp you also have the possibility to rent a sauna.
The camp is in a secluded cove on the actual island of Skjervøy just 10 minutes from the centre of Skjervøy where you will find several grocery stores, place to eat and a branch of Vinmonopolet.
The camp has eight cabins and six apartments. The cabins are approx. 50 sqm and sleep four guests. Each cabin has two bedrooms, a lounge with lounge suite, a fully equipped kitchen with dish washer and dining table and chairs and a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
The apartments come in three sizes. All feature a lounge with lounge suite where you can relax, a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, dish washer and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. The largest cabins (65 sqm) have three bedrooms and sleep six guests. The medium-sized cabins (45 sqm) have two bedrooms and sleep four guests. The smallest cabins (34 sqm) have one bedroom and two beds.
Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the camp.
Getting here:
The northbound and southbound Hurtigruten ships call at Skjervøy daily. Another option is catching the express boat to/from Tromsø and Kvænangen.
You can also take the ferry to Arnøya from the ferry landing at Storsteinnes, just a 10-minute drive from the camp.
Scheduled bus services correspond with the bus route Alta/Storslett – Tromsø.
