Skogfrua

  • Trolldalsveien 269, Straumen
  •  /  km From You
Overview

In upper Evjen, a small detour from E6, you will find SKOgfrua. In the middle of rich wildlife and peaceful surroundings , in silence and surrounded by forest, Skogfrua has established its shoemaker's workshop and shop.

The shop is idyllically located on top of a hill overlooking the village. On the way up here, it is easy to put behind everyday stress and hustle. The forest around is has lots of life and non-motorized activity. Here you will find peace.

In addition to traditional shoemaking products, you can find self-produced leather and leather goods, Norwegian-produced linen products and several other Norwegian and short-distance goods. You can also shop exclusively English porcelain and delicious velvet pillows. The goal is for you as a visitor to have a peaceful and unique shopping experience. With us you will find unique items and gifts you most likely will not find anywhere else in the area.

You can visit SKOgfrua with all your senses, you can listen and smell at the same time as you take in the visual expression through colors and small surprises. Maybe you will find some inspiration for your own projects at the same time.
If the weather is good, you can enjoy the view while drinking a cup of freshly roasted coffee or tea, out in the yard.

The seasons become clear here in the village. This is marked by different markets. The two largest are the green market (focus on recycling, environment and sustainability) which is held when the snow has gone in the spring and our atmospheric outdoor Christmas market, which is held on Saturday the first weekend of Advent every year.

If you wish, you can stroll along the old road across towards Helland. This road is closed to traffic and is used a lot by people in the area. From Helland you can follow a marked path up to "Buviknakken" where you can enjoy the view and register your summit trip in the book that hangs there. If you are really adventurous, you can walk through the forest and down to Skogfrua again from here.

Welcome to a quiet shopping experience, pleasant markets and a beautiful wildlife at SKOgfrua!
