Birdwatching at Snåsavatnet – A birdwatcher’s paradise! From April onwards, you can spot geese, ducks, and waders in the northern part of the lake.
Roaldstien Fortress – A short walk from the hotel leads to this historic hillfort from AD 200–600, featuring a 100-metre-long stone wall – the northernmost hillfort in the Trondheim Fjord region.
Saemien Sijte – A fascinating museum showcasing both historic Sámi artefacts and contemporary duodji (Sámi handicrafts).
Bergsåsen Nature Reserve – Explore a marked nature trail through an area rich in rare orchids and cultural heritage.
Seterbygda Snåsa – Visit traditional mountain farms in summer and taste authentic Norwegian farm food.
⛰️ Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park (Låarte/Skæhkere) – A vast, unspoilt wilderness with numerous Sámi cultural heritage sites and excellent hunting and fishing opportunities. Please note: Few trails, no signposting or facilities.
️ Bøla Rock Carvings – See 6,000-year-old rock carvings, including the famous Bølarein (Reindeer carving). (Approx. 30 minutes by car from the hotel).
Gjerstadhuset – Visit the childhood home of "Snåsakailln" Joralf Gjerstad, now a museum dedicated to his life and remarkable healing abilities. At the hotel, you can also visit the Joralf Exhibition, featuring a bust, photos, and newspaper articles about the famous "Snåsamannen".
Snåsa Fishing Festival / Snåsa Game Fair – Norway’s largest wilderness festival, celebrating outdoor life, fishing, and hunting.
