Guided snowmobile safari in the Lyngen Alps

Experience the spectacular Lyngen Alps on a scenic and beginner-friendly snowmobile safari from Tromsø. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains, forests and fjords, you will follow established snowmobile trails through one of Northern Norway’s most impressive Arctic winter landscapes.

Before the tour begins, your English-speaking guide will provide a full safety briefing and explain how to operate the snowmobile. The experience has a strong focus on safety, sightseeing and enjoying the Arctic surroundings.

60–90 minutes of snowmobiling

The snowmobile ride lasts approximately 60–90 minutes, depending on snow and weather conditions. Two guests share each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch drivers during the tour if both guests meet the driving requirements.

Several stops are made along the way, giving you time to take photos, enjoy the scenery and experience the Arctic wilderness. This is not a high-speed snowmobile tour – the focus is on exploring the landscape safely and comfortably.

Safety briefing and driving requirements

Drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence. Guests without a valid driving licence can participate as passengers.

Two guests share each snowmobile and may switch drivers during the tour if both meet the driving requirements.

The route and duration of the snowmobile experience may be adjusted depending on weather, snow and trail conditions.

Warm meal after the snowmobile safari

After the snowmobile safari, you will return to the camp and warm up with freshly prepared fish soup and hot drinks. A vegetarian option is also available.

Departure times and place:

• Tour 1: Departure at 8:30 AM (08:30). Approximate return to Tromsø at 4 PM (16:00)
• Tour 2: Departure at 11:30 AM (11:30). Approximate return to Tromsø at 6:45 PM (18:45)
