Experience the thrill of snowmobiling through the remote Arctic wilderness surrounding Camp Tamok. Embark on a breathtaking journey through snow-covered landscapes, inaccessible by other means.
This tour is conducted by Norwegian Travel/Lyngsfjord Adventure. Upon arrival, you will be outfitted with all the necessary gear and clothing, ensuring you’re well-prepared for the journey ahead. Our expert guides will provide thorough instructions, ensuring everyone feels confident and safe before setting out.
Follow your tour guide and navigate along snowy trails, surrounded by snow-covered mountains, valleys, frozen rivers, and lakes. You will share a snowmobile with another person, taking turns as the driver and passenger. Halfway through the tour, we’ll have a short break where you'll swap places, ensuring both of you have the chance to drive the snowmobile.
After the snowmobile tour, you will return to the camp, where a warm meal awaits in one of our traditional lavvus (indigenous Sámi tent).
With food and drinks served, gathered around the open fire, you will get the chance to relax and share stories of your recent adventures!
During peak season, we might split the group to avoid large groups. Half of the group will start with the hot meal in the traditional North Norwegian setting before heading out to the mountains on the snowmobiles.
After lunch, everyone will board the bus back to Tromsø, reflecting on a day filled with adrenaline and the raw beauty of the Arctic winter landscape.
