Pay a visit to Soldalen Public Farm and enjoy a fun for the whole family!
The farm situated sunny and sheltered, where the Terøy family has run a farm for seven generations. The farm is close to the recreational area Storåsen in the coastal town of Florø, and it is approved as a 4-H farm. It was renovated an opened in its current form in 2017 and is now a place where visitors can experience the joy of being with animals. We also offer horse-riding, and occasionally driving in a carriage with one of our ponies. The farm has horses, goats, hens, rabbits, a donkey and a cat, and alpacas. All visits must be booked with the owner, Tonje Terøy.
Have you ever tried cuddling a 5kg calm rabbit, and do you know that the alpaca used to be worshiped? In Open farm, visitors may visit all our animals and learn about them, play in the farmyard and ride the horses. There is also an open kiosk. The main area is accessible for handicapped.
Price: 50 NOK per person, 200 per family. 25 NOK extra per ride.
Visitors can enjoy the farmyard by themselves and look at the animals from a distance. The barbecue hut is available with all necessities except food, and it is possible to take a look in the stables. Staff will be present between 11 and 12 o´clock, giving the opportunity to meet the animals up close, or even try a short ride, all depending on demand and capacity. The farmyard is accessible for handicapped.

Book your own time at the farm with the staff! The group can meet the animals up close, try horse-riding and have a Norwegian “svele” and coffee/lemonade at the end.

The main building contains the stable, various other rooms and HC toilet. In the farmyard you´ll find a barbecue hut, a modern lean-to, greenhouse and toys. Around the farmyard you´ll find the animals, the riding arena and our field with various plants. The farm is situated close to the walking trail around Storåsen.
