Soleggen Fjellstue is located 957 m above sea level on the north side of Jotunheimen, about 10 km from the center of Lom. The site offers outdoor school programs for students from across the Nordic countries, courses, seminars, and rentals for events. Here, simple outdoor living, a sense of achievement, and close contact with nature are at the heart of the experience.

The lodge is located in an old summer-farm area with a varied cultural landscape. Untouched nature and rugged mountains surround the mountain lodge, and the area is known for its rich plant life.

Soleggen Fjellstue was purchased by the Rudolf Steiner School in Oslo in 1986 to be used for camp school activities. Since then, the mountain lodge has been developed with great care—and is today run as a foundation with the purpose of operating camp school programs. Through its 35 years of operation, Soleggen has given children and young people from all over Scandinavia experiences of achievement in the Norwegian high mountains.

Soleggen is open to hikers for one week in the summer and during the Easter holiday every year. On Palm Sunday, in keeping with tradition, there is an open activity day for the whole family in collaboration with Garmo Idrettslag.

In 2019, a dome was built at Soleggen, which has become a popular space for yoga, meditation, and gatherings.

Today, Soleggen has 80 beds across 23 rooms, and facilities for groups and gatherings of up to 80 people.

It is possible to rent Soleggen for various private or corporate events, for a minimum of 15 people and at least 3 nights.

In winter, the road is usually plowed all the way up to the parking area at Soleggen.
