Join us on a slow-paced Arctic scenery tour around the picturesque island of Kvaløya. See Arctic wildlife, enjoy stunning mountains and endless fjords before a delicious lunch in Sommarøy.

This tour is conducted by Northern Norway Travel. Join us on a roundtrip tour of the picturesque island of Kvaløya (Whale Island) in a Mercedes Sprinter including WIFI. Take in the fresh air and enjoy breath-taking views of the mountains and fjords, capturing the endless beauty through your camera lens.

We will head into the wilderness on Norway’s fifth largest island, so keep your eyes open for typical Arctic fauna including eagles, whales, seals, foxes, moose and the local reindeer. Be sure to dress in warm layers (regardless of the time of year!) as we will have several photo stops throughout the tour to admire the views of the mountains and fjords.

Towards the end of the tour we will have delicious lunch in the small village of Sommarøy, at the prestigious Arctic Hotel. You will never forget the crystal-clear waters and the white sandy beaches, making the island a favorite destination for both locals and visitors alike. In fact, on a warm and sunny day, we wouldn't be surprised if you thought you were in the Caribbean!

On the way back to Tromsø, we'll take the scenic route along the southern coast of Kvaløya, with a couple of additional photo stops. Here, you'll take in stunning views of the mountains of Malangan, as well as the island of Senja off to the distance with its iconic jagged peaks.
