Sommarøy Arctic Day Trip

Take in the fresh air and enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and fjords, capturing the endless beauty through your camera lens.

We will head into the wilderness on Norway’s fifth-largest island, so keep your eyes open for typical Arctic fauna, including eagles, whales, seals, foxes, moose and local reindeer. Be sure to dress in warm layers (regardless of the time of year!) as we will have several photo stops throughout the tour to admire the views of the mountains and fjords.

Towards the end of the tour, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in the small village of Sommarøy, at the prestigious Arctic Hotel. You will never forget the crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches, making the island a favourite destination for both locals and visitors alike. In fact, on a warm and sunny day, we wouldn't be surprised if you thought you were in the Caribbean!

On the way back to Tromsø, we'll take the scenic route along the southern coast of Kvaløya, with a couple of additional photo stops. Here, you'll take in stunning views of the mountains of Malangen, as well as the island of Senja off in the distance, with its iconic jagged peaks.
